Bathroon Renovation Pics

FINALLY, here are the pictures from our bathroom renovations from June 2008. Unfortunately, I don't have the before pics of the bathroom. I don't know where those pictures are :o( But most of you have seen our bathroom before. Just picture old dark wooden walls, dark cabinets, old weird tan coloured tub and sink... VERY 80's! Goodbye 80's and HELLO millenium!!!

The 'during demo' picture of our sink/ mirror/vanity area

Nathan had so much fun demolishing the tub and walls.

Bath tub demolished

Nathan in a hole where the bath tub used to be.

There was extensive water damage so Nathan had to go deep into the bowels under the bathroom to get to the root of the problem. This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole experience!

Then it was time for the tub installation. And yes, that is a hole in the wall where the window is suppose to go in. The window was on order and would not arrive for another couple of days but we didn't want to stop working. The work must go on! There were a few days where we had to put up a piece of plywood while we used the facilities but we had natural air conditioning :o)

Plywood window as previously mentioned

And we have a window! No more peeing by candle light! - the electrical was not hooked up yet.

The anti-mildew drywall by the vanity area

Finally! The finished product! Yeah!!!

IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!
Kudos to Nathan - he did some great work, and that pick with him and the sledgehammer is a keeper.
Remember the nights of drinking and the old bathroom not working right and the trips to the Dairy Queen?? I am saying a little RIP prayer for the old toilet right now - LOL!
