Boys are made of snails & puppy dog tails...

... and girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice. And I understand why. Boys tend to be more rough, love running around and wrestle. While little girls tend to be more subdued, calm and will be content with her crayons and a colouring book.

Our friends Martin and Lisa were kind enough to invite us over for their Christmas party. There was adult mingling and most importantly the kids played. Aidan had so much fun. He ran with the older boys until he got tired and then he sat quietly with the girls at the craft table. And when he was bored of that he weaved his way through the legs of the adults while flashing them his Aidan smile as he past. Later that night, Aidan asked to go to bed! That's only the 2nd time I've ever experience such a request. I suppose running with the older boys really wore him out.

In the past couple of weeks, Nathan has perfected his ginger cake recipe. So when he learned about this potluck we were attending, he whipped up a batch of his cake. It was a hit! I think there were only 3 or 4 cupcakes left by the end of the night. Yum!
